Syfy Labs
Launch at CES

Syfy wanted to take the traditional viewing experience to the next level and make it more sensory for audiences. Enter Syfy Labs, an audience engagement incubator within the network designed to create 4D immersive experience elements that pair with their programming. To introduce the Labs concept to the world, Syfy showed off four of its creations for their new show, The Expanse.

A customized lighting experience featured Phillips Hue products, 3D-printed show memorabilia in partnership with MakerBot and Thingiverse, a custom second-screen experience from Syfy, and an augmented reality tour of the show's spaceships, thanks to Samsung Gear. It was a cosmic hit, leaving CES attendees excited for more content that breaks the fourth wall.
